Area attorneys have been included in Chambers USA: Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business for outstanding capabilities in specific areas of business law. The guide, recently released by respected U.K. legal publisher Chambers and Partners, is based on extensive independent research, including in-depth interviews with leading private-practice attorneys and key in-house counsel throughout the United States, according to a press release from Stoel Rives.
Chambers ranks Stoel Rives attorneys in seven areas of law: corporate/commercial, corporate/mergers and acquisitions, employment, commercial litigation, real estate, environmental and natural resources law.
Stoel Rives received category rankings in four states where the firm has offices. In some categories, the firm received the highest possible ranking in the category.
The attorneys from the Boise office of Stoel Rives are listed below, along with the area of law for which they were selected. Starred entries indicate the attorney received the guide’s highest possible ranking.
Kevin Beaton, natural resources*; Paul Boyd, corporate / commercial*; James Dale, employment*; Quentin Knipe, real estate; Krista McIntyre, natural resources*; Kris Ormseth, corporate / commercial; Gregory Tollefson, employment; and Walt Sinclair, litigation.
Stoel Rives has offices in Oregon, Utah, Idaho and Washington.
Eight partners at Hawley Troxell Ennis & Hawley LLP were also listed as outstanding in their fields, and the law firm itself was ranked as one of the best in Idaho by Chambers & Partners.
The publication relies solely on recommendations by clients and peers for its rankings, said a release.
Hawley Troxell received a No. 1 ranking in the areas of real estate, corporate law, employment law and litigation. Five attorneys were named as “Idaho leaders,” including Steven Berenter in employment, Stephen Hardesty and Nicholas Miller in corporate/commercial and Merlyn Clark and Craig Meadows in litigation.
Praise also went to Brian Ballard, Richard Riley and Geoffrey Wardle.
Hawley Troxell Ennis & Hawley has offices in Boise, Ketchum, Pocatello and Reno.
