Syringa Bank recently applied with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and Idaho Department of Finance to open a loan production office in southeast Meridian. According to a press release, the company has also asked to establish a full-service branch in Lewiston.
“The loan production office will offer our customers a variety of lending products and services, while the Lewiston office will offer customers full-service banking including deposit and lending services,” President and CEO Jerry Aldape said.
Aldape said he expects the Lewiston branch to open in 30 to 60 days at 1702 21st St. with eight to 12 employees.
The Lewiston branch project is Syringa’s first outside the Treasure Valley.
“We’re very proud of our business model here,” he said of Boise-based Syringa. “We looked to take that business model to an area we could fully take advantage of, the Lewiston marketplace.”
Syringa is open to expansion into other parts of Idaho, Aldape said.
“It all centers around getting the right individuals, the right management teams,” he said.
The Meridian office is expected to open in 30 to 45 days at 3067 E. Copper Point Drive, in the SilverStone complex, with three to seven employees, Aldape said.
