We all know someone who’s made a difference. Those people working in the area of health care do it every day, yet often go unrecognized outside of their peers. We want our readers to know them, and you can help.

For the second year, the Idaho Business Review, in conjunction with presenting sponsors Idaho State University and Regence Blue Shield of Idaho, is honoring those individuals and organizations through our Health Care Heroes awards program. Honorees in eight categories will be profiled in a magazine published in the IBR on Sept. 24, and recognized at an awards dinner on Sept. 20.

Partnering with us in this prestigious program this year are the Idaho Hospital Association, Idaho Health Care Association, Idaho Medical Association, Idaho Alliance of Leaders in Nursing, and the Idaho Medical Group Management Association.

If you have a nomination you’d like to make, click on the Health Care Heroes button on the left column of the Idaho Business Review home page to download a nomination form. The deadline this year has been extended to July 23. Forms can either be e-mailed directly to me at steve.martin@idahobusiness.net or sent through the mail to Idaho Business Review, Health Care Heroes Program, Attention: Steve Martin, P.O. Box 8866, Boise, Idaho 83707.

Judges, chosen from the state’s medical community, will consider submitted evidence of a nominee’s effectiveness, including testimonials from superiors, peers, patients and administrators.

New this year, the Idaho Business Review will also award a nursing scholarship to one individual, selected through a judging process by the Idaho Alliance of Leaders in Nursing. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the awards dinner.

We look forward to hearing from you.

You’ve done everything right. You’ve adopted the concept of “perpetuity” so that the firm now thinks and plans for the long term. You’ve groomed a solid core of good leaders who are trusted, share common values, are committed to the firm’s long-term success and are at least two generations deep. You’ve gradually expanded ownership of [...]
