$1.1 billion agreement finalized by Micron

- Of Idaho's nearly 500,000 cows in the state, about 70 percent are in southern Idaho. Heavy equipment serving the farms is destroying the road in the area, according to highway district officials in south-central Idaho. Those rigs cause more damage to pavement and it’s making it difficult to keep up on road maintenance.
- DRAM maker Micron Technology Inc. has finalized its agreement with Nanya Technology Corp. in Taipei, Taiwan, to develop new technologies. The agreement commits each for $500 million to the project.
