If you’re one of those people who care, MSNBC took all the rankings that have been passed out for the last … while … and came up with a “Where are best of the best places?” top list.

The five of the leading “best places” lists — Forbes magazine, Kiplinger.com, Money magazine, Fortune Small Business magazine and Relocate-America.com – were used in the MSNBC ranking (and of course it was an unscientific measure) – but Boise ended up being in the NO. 2 postion

The question I raise, where’s the glory in all this, other than it invites more people to move into the area. Don’t take this wrong, I’m not a NIMBY by any means, but bragging rights will only take you so far. There’s plenty of problems that those listings just don’t look at – transportation, infrastructure, water supply. Being number two is a great recognition, but when it all comes around, is it really?

You’ve gradually expanded ownership of [...]
