HP announces EDS integration will cost more than 20,000 jobs (access required)

 Less than a month after finalizing its $13.9 billion acquisition of Texas-based Electronic Data Systems, Hewlett-Packard announced Monday it will cull 24,600 jobs from its worldwide operations to integrate the two companies. The cuts will take place over three years and account for around 7.5 percent of HP’s and EDS’s combined 320,000-strong global workforce. ...
