Mystique Salon and Spa, of Boise, will be the “Official Small Business of NASCAR, courtesy of Office Depot,” for the remainder of the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock-car race season, Office Depot said in a release.

Mystique owner Julie Catalano is the first female business owner to receive the honor since the program began in 2005, Office Depot said. Catalano opened her business, now at 936 S. Vista Ave., in 2000. She is an Office Depot customer.

Catalano was introduced at a press event today at Kansas City Speedway. She was joined by NASCAR driver Carl Edwards – whose No. 99 Office Depot Ford now features a Mystique Salon logo – Roush Fenway Racing owner Jack Roush, and NASCAR Chief Marketing Officer Steve Phelps.
