An 868-acre residential development planned in Garden Valley has partnered with a San Francisco resort developer to construct a resort hotel, spa and conference center onsite. The hotel is scheduled to open on Thanksgiving in 2010.

The hotel at Southfork Landing (55 miles north of Boise) will be modeled after an existing PlumpJack Group property, The Carneros Inn in Napa Valley, Calif. The new resort will include 80 condominiums, a restaurant, a conference facility, a fitness center, a spa and retail space.

Southfork Landing was announced in 2005. The first cabin was completed in September of this year, and 600 homes are planned over the next several years. The development will include a golf course, a private whitewater park and thousands of miles of wilderness trails. Sixty percent of the development will remain open space.
