Key players to discuss environmental issues in 2009 legislative session (access required)

Leaders in Idaho environmental issues will discuss the current state budget shortfall and other issues at the Idaho Environmental Forum's Legislative Forecast Gala.

In addition to the state's budget crunch, speakers will discuss the Snake River Aquifer,  energy policy, transportation, proposed license increases, conservation and federal policy. Presenters include Thomas  Sansonetti, Holland & Hart attorney and former Assistant Attorney General for the Environment and Natural Resources Division; John Freemuth, Boise State University; Marc Johnson, Gallatin Public Affairs; state Sen. Dean Cameron; Terry Uhling, Idaho Water Resource Board; Paul Kjellander, Idaho Office of Energy Resources; Pam Lowe, Idaho Transportation Department; Virgil Moore, Idaho Department of Fish and Game; and Courtney Washburn, Idaho Conservation League.
