The new building at the Boise Apollo College campus will hold a grand opening tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 24,500-square-foot building includes 14 classrooms and labs, two conference rooms, three lobby areas, a simulation laboratory with control room, a full science laboratory and a private massage therapy clinic.

Green elements of the building include skylights and xeriscape landscaping.

“We needed to expand our campus to meet the additional classes we are offering our students,” said Apollo President Dr. Thomas Bloom in a release.  “As of March 31 this year, enrollment numbers are up about 26 percent over last year.  We see the combination of high unemployment, a growing need for trained health care workers and the shortage of nurses contributing to our increased enrollment throughout Apollo College.”

Boise-based CTA Architects/Engineers designed the two-story building, and Kreizenbeck Constructors, also of Boise, built it.

Grand opening activities will include chair massages, a ribbon cutting and campus tours.
Apollo College provides career-focused postsecondary education in health care and related fields. It has 11 campuses in the western United States. Boise’s American Institute of Health Technology was purchased by California-based U.S. Education Corp. in 2003, and its name changed to Apollo College at the start of 2005.

The campus is located on Liberty Street south of Fairview Avenue and west of Curtis Road.

You’ve groomed a solid core of good leaders who are trusted, share common values, are committed to the firm’s long-term success and are at least two generations deep. You’ve gradually expanded ownership of [...]
