Meridian Development Corp., the urban renewal agency for Meridian’s downtown core, plans public meetings Nov. 11-14 on the future development of downtown. Meetings are set at the former Farmers and Merchants State Bank building, 703 N. Main St., at 6 p.m. Nov. 11 (public visioning workshop), 2 p.m. Nov. 12 (stakeholders), 6 p.m. Nov. 12 (public question and answer), and 9 a.m. Nov. 14 (presentation by CRSA, the design firm administering the master planning process). CRSA plans to prepare the conceptual plan for the presentation Nov. 13.

The process is part of Meridian’s Destination Downtown effort (http://www.destination-downtown.org/). “At the meetings, the public will be invited to sketch their vision alongside the planners, and provide direct input on identifying downtown districts, big opportunities, and conceptual plans for the look of downtown,” Meridian Development Corp. said in a release.
