Public Relations Society announces new slate of officers

Idaho’s chapter of the Public Relations Society of America has announced its slate of officers for 2010.

The chapter will be led by president Sydney Sallabanks, principal at Gallatin Public Affairs in Boise. Sallabanks’ areas of expertise are in media relations and crisis mitigation. She recently served on the planning committee for the Capitol Rededication Celebration and is also a longtime volunteer with Junior League Boise.

The PRSA Idaho 2010 slate of officers also includes: past president, Joanne Taylor, PR contractor and consultant; secretary, David Compton, owner of Compton Communications; treasurer, Rick Phillips, manager of public relations for JR Simplot Co.; at large, Georganne Benjamin, director of Strategic Communications at Regence; at large, Mary Frances Casper, assistant professor of communication, Boise State University; and, at large, Jessica Flynn, principal and president, Red Sky Public Relations.
