Idaho State University interim dean of the Kasiska College of Health Professions Stephen Feit has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Idaho Counseling Association for 2010.

Feit is also a professor of counseling and former chair of the ISU counseling department.

He graduated from the University of New Hampshire, with a degree in sociology. Feit proceeded to earn his master’s and doctoral degrees in counseling from West Virginia University.

The ICA Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to individuals who have long and distinguished service to the counseling profession and exemplary care for people. Nominees should maintain the highest standards of personal conduct and recognize that their personal conduct is held up to public scrutiny.

Nominees must have demonstrated consistent and reliable contributions in all the areas of service, scholarship and teaching over an exemplary career span.

The Idaho Counseling Association is an organization of counseling and human development professionals who work in education, health care, residential treatment, private practice, community agency, governments and business/industry settings.

    It’s nice to see an article about ISU in a predominately Boise area newspaper. I’d be willing to bet that over half of the residents of the Treasure Valley know absolutely nothing about ISU’s health programs. Thanks IBR.
