Red Sky P.R. expands its client service team

Red Sky Public Relations has added two new members to its account team – Leigh Ann Dufurrena and Danae Castellaw. Both work with clients in Red Sky’s growing consumer products and health care practice areas.
Dufurrena, an account executive, joins Red Sky from design agency Carew Co., bringing experience in strategic communication, brand messaging, social media, creative planning and project management. A Boise State University graduate, she has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and public relations with a minor in visual art.
Castellaw, an assistant account executive, joins Red Sky after relocating to the Treasure Valley from Lewiston. She brings with her experience in broadcast news, media relations, market research and campaign development.
A Washington State University graduate, she has a B.A. in communications with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in business administration. Prior to Red Sky, Castellaw cut her teeth on the media side of communication, working in a radio newsroom.

Fisher’s makes three new additions to staff

Fisher’s Document Systems has added three new workers to its staff.
Scott Rhode began his career in transportation approximately 19 years ago. He completed the teamster apprentice program at the top of his class and has driven tractor-trailers and straight trucks. In 2009, he relocated from Louisville, Ky. to Eagle.
Tori Schmitz graduated from Boise State University in August 2009 with a BBA in accountancy.
Jennifer Turner has five years experience in dispatch and many more years in customer service.

Randall presented with Conrad Leader Award

Lindsay Randall, a Boise commercial account executive with Premier Insurance, was presented the Dennis D. Conrad Leader Award at the recent company meeting in Twin Falls.
The award was given to Randall because of her leadership, efficiency and teamwork.

McFarland named pro bono award winner

The law firm of Hawley Troxell announced that the Idaho State Bar board of commissioners has selected Hawley Troxell associate Ryan McFarland as one of five winners of the Denise O’Donnell Day Pro Bono Award for performing exceptional volunteer legal work. The Idaho State Bar and Idaho Law Foundation honored McFarland and his fellow winners at the annual Resolution Meeting Nov. 17 at the Boise Centre.
McFarland, an associate in the Civil Litigation Practice Group at Hawley Troxell, was nominated for his numerous volunteer hours, especially in a difficult immigration case.
In addition to his volunteer work with the Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program, McFarland is the 2010 chair of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society-Boise Chapter, and serves on the Salvation Army’s Treasure Valley Advisory Board.

Idahoan receives top honor from AARP

An Idaho man was named the recipient of AARP’s most prestigious honor, the Andrus Award, named for the association’s founder, Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus.
Charlie Brown of Boise was cited for his efforts to make a difference in the lives of others through his community service, his work with the Retired Educators Association of Idaho and his advocacy efforts.
Among his many volunteer activities and roles, Brown serves as the executive secretary of the REAI, is a state advocacy leader for AARP Idaho, is on the finance committee of the Idaho Public Employees Association and serves as an adviser to the local Phi Delta Kappa Chapter.
