MWI Veterinary Supply beats expectations in quarter (access required)

Boise-based MWI Veterinary Supply Inc. reported net income of $13.2 million or $1.92 per share for its fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 31, up 21.9 percent from $10.8 million or 87 cents per share a year earlier.
