Boise attorney appointed lawyer representative

J. Walter Sinclair, a partner at Stoel Rives in Boise, has been appointed as a lawyer representative for the United States District & Bankruptcy Court, District of Idaho.

Sinclair will serve a three-year term, replacing outgoing lawyer representative Thomas High. The other lawyer representatives are Trudy Hanson Fouser, for the Fourth District, and Bruce Anderson, for the First and Second Districts. Lawyer representatives represent the bar to advance opinions and suggestions for improvement, assist the court in implementing new programs and procedures, serve on court committees and develop curricula for training programs.

Sinclair has practiced law since 1978. His practice focuses on business, corporate and complex litigation in the fields of agricultural product liability, antitrust, class action, complex commercial litigation contract disputes, mass tort, probate disputes, product liability, real estate and securities litigation

Sinclair earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics from Stanford University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law.
