Mechanical engineer earns professional certification

Tim Johnson, a mechanical engineer with CTA Architects Engineers in Boise, has earned the Building Energy Modeling Professional certification from the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers.

The certification indicates Johnson is able to evaluate, choose, use, calibrate and interpret the results of energy modeling software when applied to building and systems energy performance and economics. It also indicates he is competent to model new and existing buildings and systems with their full range of physics.
