U.S. construction industry rings in new year with jobs (access required)

The U.S. construction industry ended 2012 on a high note. According to information released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the nation’s construction industry added 30,000 jobs in December. Job gains were led by building construction (up 13,000) and residential specialty trade work (up 12,000). The industry had lost 20,000 jobs in November, when construction spending decreased. ...
