Idaho AARP hires associate communications director

Randy Simon has joined the Idaho Chapter of AARP as the associate state director of communications. In this position, he will provide strategic communications, issues management and outreach.

Simon previously worked at Gallatin Public Affairs. He has experience in developing media strategies aimed at educating communities, managing complex public issues and calling constituencies into action. Before that, he worked for a decade as a journalist in New Mexico and Idaho.

Simon earned his Bachelor of Arts in history from Baylor University and his Master of Arts in journalism from the University of Colorado.
