Boise attorney is vice president of Uniform Law Commission

Rex BlackburnRex Blackburn, senior vice president and general counsel of Idaho Power in Boise, has been re-elected for a two-year term as vice president of the Uniform Law Commission.

The commission is a nationwide organization that drafts and promotes enactment of uniform laws designed to solve problems common to all states. Commissioners donate their time as a pro bono public service.

Blackburn has served as an Idaho uniform law commissioner since 1993 and has served on several committees in the organization. He joined Idaho Power in 2008. He was a trial lawyer in private practice in Boise from 1980 to 2007.

Blackburn earned his undergraduate degree from College of Idaho and his Juris Doctor from the University of California Hastings College of Law.
