I-84 bridge collapse injures 14 workers (access required)

A bridge collapse along Interstate 84 sent 14 workers to the hospital Monday.None of the workers, who are with Spokane, Wash.-based Graham Construction and Management, suffered life-threatening injuries and are being treated at Mercy Medical Center in Nampa, and Saint Alphonsus and St. Luke’s in Boise, according to press reports. It doesn’t cost any money to convince people of this: the city of Boise needs a stronger airport with improved passenger and freight access to grow its economy. And that cannot happen unless there is a change in the state’s Constitution.
