In record-breaking numbers, applications flew into the Idaho Business Review’s Accomplished Under 40 email inbox. More than 130 completed the application process.
That made the selection process harder than ever, said several past honorees who sat on the 11 selection committees.
“All of the applicants were very impressive,” said Courtney Santillan, director of health programs and workforce development at the College of Western Idaho. A 2015 award winner, she said the experience of reading the applications and what great things are being accomplished by the nominees was “amazing.”
Patrick A. Hunter, PR and strategic engagement program manager for Hewlett-Packard, was thankful for the opportunity to learn about the nominees’ accomplishments and said the candidates in his group were “outstanding.” Hunter was an honoree in 2011.
Raina Delema, branch manager II for the Sandpoint Branch of Washington Trust Bank, and honoree from 2015 also said, “it was amazing seeing the diversity in service and accomplishments.”
The public is invited to celebrate with this year’s honorees at a reception and awards event, 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Western Aircraft Hangar at the Boise Airport. Tickets will be available for purchase on the website: http://idahobusinessreview.com/events/au40/.
