The Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce has announced it has named a new board of directors leader for 2010. Dave Terrell, regional president of southern Idaho for Washington Trust Bank, is the 2010 chairman of the board.
Terrell has been with Washington Trust Bank for 10 years and has over 27 years experience in the banking industry. “I look forward to my role as chairman of the board during 2010, as the Boise Metro Chamber serves as an incredibly strong advocate to businesses throughout the Treasure Valley, providing support that will be critical during our economic challenges ahead,” Terrell said.
Four new members were added to the 43-person board. They include: Mike Ballantyne, Thornton Oliver Keller; Bill Cole, Givens Pursley; Jefferson Jewel, Blackfin Technology; and Scott Kreiling, Regence BlueShield.
Two new members joined the board’s 16-person executive committee. They are Kent Hanway of CSHQA and Scott Terry of Courtyard by Marriott.
“The Boise Metro Chamber has a long history of community support and leadership,” said Bill Connors, president and CEO of the chamber. “The addition of Dave Terrell as our new chairman, as well as our new board and executive committee members, will provide the necessary leadership needed to develop a stronger business community in the Boise Valley.”
