The United Way of Treasure Valley’s board of directors has announced the appointment of native Boisean and community leader Derick O’Neill to replace Sally Zive as president and CEO, effective Feb. 1.
Zive announced in December that she would be stepping down after 11 years at the helm of United Way to focus on health issues.
“Sally has been a remarkable leader for United Way as it has transitioned to its current focus on making positive, lasting change for individuals, families and the community,” said United Way Board Chairman Wayne Rancourt.
O’Neill was recommended following a Valley-wide search by a panel comprised of the United Way board’s executive committee and Zive. He is president and managing member of O’Neill Enterprises, a leading developer of residential and mixed use communities in the Treasure Valley.
He will vacate his current role upon assuming UWTV’s presidency.
