Kittelson & Associates Inc., an international transportation planning, engineering and research firm with an office in Boise, has named Mark Vandehey its chief executive officer.
A senior principal engineer, Vandehey was elected CEO by KAI’s board of directors; he moved into the position Jan. 1. He replaces Wayne Kittelson, who served as CEO since founding the firm in 1985.
Vandehey has been involved in KAI’s growth into an international, 10-office, multi-service firm. In 1995, he was named chief operating officer and has worked closely with all aspects of the firm’s management. He joined KAI 24 years ago, beginning his career in traffic engineering and transportation planning.
