Earlier this month, the board of directors of Syringa Bank announced the appointment and promotion of Scott Gibson to president and chief executive officer of Syringa Bank.
“Since joining Syringa Bank in 2001, Scott has demonstrated not only strong financial acumen, but an impressive ability to lead,” said Hilario Arguinchona, chairman of the board.
Gibson, an Idaho native, graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, with a degree in finance and holds a master’s degree equivalent from the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Wash.
He is a published author in banking industry journals and has served the industry for more than 20 years. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and chief credit officer of Syringa Bank.
Jerry F. Aldape will remain president and chief executive officer of Syringa Bancorp.
