A new effort to bring together local business people and city officials in an informal setting to discuss the hurdles local businesses face in the current economy is being offered by Boise Mayor David Bieter.
The Mayor’s Business Forum is a series of meetings with the business community and city officials scheduled for different business districts. Bieter and his economic development team of John Brunelle and Cece Gassner will join representatives from Planning & Development Services, Public Works, Airport and Police to listen to concerns from local business people, answer questions and explore ways city government and the business community can work together to find solutions to the challenges local businesses face every day.
“True economic recovery must begin at the local level,” Bieter said.
The first forum will be for businesses located on the Boise Bench. The Bench is roughly defined as businesses located from Federal Way to Curtis Avenue and from Airport Way to Crescent Rim Drive. Businesses located outside this area are also welcome to attend.
