A spokesman for Idaho Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter says the governor is still under observation at a Boise hospital after being admitted for dehydration and flu-like symptoms.
The 67-year-old Otter was taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center on April 19. Spokesman Jon Hanian says Otter was still under observation at the hospital on Tuesday morning. He says the governor is in good spirits.
Hanian says the governor’s office is handling his calendar for the day on an hour-by-hour basis and it’s not yet clear if Otter will attend a $100-per-person reception and $1,000-a-plate campaign dinner he is scheduled to host April 20 night with former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.
Otter is one of six candidates seeking the Republican nomination in next month’s primary election.
