D.A. Davidson donates to Corpus Christi House
Corpus Christi House announced Dec. 6 that D.A. Davidson & Co., a financial services firm based in Great Falls, Mont., with offices in the Treasure Valley, has made an unsolicited donation to its organization. Corpus Christi House was chosen by associates in Davidson’s Boise office to be the recipient of local funds in support of the Step Up Education Center.
As part of the firm’s 75th anniversary celebration, Davidson is donating more than $120,000 to nonprofit organizations throughout its market area in the West and Midwest.
The Step Up Education Center was established in May 2010 to provide assistance to any homeless adult or child who wishes to continue their education. To date, 11 adults have received their general education diplomas (GED) and 12 more are currently working toward their GEDs.
Stronghold Remodeling named Remodeler of Year
Stronghold Remodeling of Boise was named 2010 Idaho Remodeler of the Year, in the category of up to $500,000 volume, at the annual awards banquet of the Idaho Remodelers Association held in Boise Dec. 3.
Winners are chosen through a survey sent out to clients, subcontractors and vendors. The contractor with the highest scores is named winner.
Stronghold also won several other honors in three separate categories for first place Contractor of the Year awards in: Residential Kitchen Remodels over $45,000; Residential Exterior $75,000 & Over; and Resident Specialties.
Judging was based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation.
