ISU’s College of Technology receives a $1.2 million grant

Idaho State University’s General Education Department will receive $1.2 million from the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation to encourage GED test-takers to continue their education at ISU.

ISU is one of six Idaho colleges that received grant funding to encourage Idaho students to continue their education.

ISU College of Technology has accredited two-year programs that lead to technical certificates, associate degrees and four-year transfer options. The College also has an onsite Adult Basic Education program that leads to a GED, or General Educational Development, certificate.

The General Education Department will use the grant money to develop a new program that will steer students in southeastern Idaho toward post-secondary education.
