Idaho Power President and CEO LaMont Keen recently announced the promotion of General Manager of Regulatory Affairs Greg Said to vice president of regulatory affairs. In his new position as an Idaho Power officer, Said continues his responsibilities for the management of economic regulatory activities in both the Idaho and Oregon retail jurisdictions and with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Said is a longtime Idaho Power leadership team member.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics, with honors, from Boise State University in 1975. He began his career at Idaho Power in 1980 as an analyst in the company’s resource planning department.
In 1989 Said accepted an analyst position in the company’s rate department, where in 1992 he was selected to design a pivotal Power Cost Adjustment (PAC) that was instrumental in reducing earnings volatility related in large part to the impacts of snowpack on hydroelectric generation.
