Apex Manufacturing Solutions moves to make way for growth

Apex Manufacturing Solutions, a Boise-based automation systems integrator and manufacturing consultant, is moving to a larger location due to growth.

Managing Director John Nichols said the company will move from a standalone building of about 3,000 square feet at 405 W. Myrtle St. to 408 E. Parkcenter Blvd., in the River Quarry office complex. Move-in is planned by May 1. It’s an increase of about 1,500 square feet. The new space meets clients’ needs better, and accommodates recent and anticipated growth, he said.

The company over the next few years expects to add automation systems engineers and technicians to the current staff of 17, he said. Staff members also work as programmers for sister entity Apex Software Development, which recently released a manufacturing software product called Factory Widgets.

Janet Benoit of Nahas Benoit Cos. handled the leasing transaction at River Quarry.

Albertsons vacated the three-story, 52,000-square-foot building last May, said Scott Schoenherr of River Quarry owner-developer Rafanelli & Nahas, Boise. Apex will move into part of the second floor. Pacific Source Health Plans occupies the entire first floor. The third floor is vacant.
