Idaho’s average price for gasoline has climbed back over the $3 per gallon mark.
AAA Idaho officials say the average price of Idaho gas has increase by 14 cents since Feb. 2 and now sits at $3.10 a gallon.
For now, Idaho is still below that national average at $3.16 per gallon. But the national average has climbed more slowly in recent weeks, at just 5 cents per gallon.
AAA Idaho Public Affairs Director Dave Carlson says Idaho’s average gas price was higher than the national average the same time a year ago.
Carlson also says eastern Idaho had a lower average price than the western part of the state in early January, but price differences had leveled off statewide by late last week.
