Health underwriters group gives award to Dana Drake
The Idaho Association of Health Underwriters awarded to Dana Drake of Coeur d’Alene the David J. Isern Memorial Award. The award is presented annually to an IAHU member in recognition of outstanding service, honesty, integrity, professionalism and dedication to the health insurance industry.
The Idaho Association of Health Underwriters is an association of health insurance professionals, insurance carriers and others related to the health care / health insurance industry focused on protecting consumer choice.
NAWBO announces Business Woman of Year winners
The National Association of Women Business Owners, Boise and Southern Idaho chapter, held its annual Business Woman of the Year Gala May 7 at the Idaho Historical Museum.
During the event, the following women were announced as winners in each of the four categories: Business Woman of the Year, Ruth Romero, personal stylist; Up & Coming Business Woman of the Year, Jorene Batali, Scentsy, independent consultant; Trail Blazer, Kitty Fleischman, Idaho Magazine; and Leadership, Mayor Tammy de Weerd, City of Meridian.
The National Association of Women Business Owners is a national organization which seeks to propel women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide. The NAWBO Boise and Southwest Idaho Chapter is in its 10th year, focusing on educating and supporting local women in business. Briggs, who serves as an interactive designer at Rizen, brings wide-ranging experience in website design and programming to the team. He also dedicates his talents as a board member for the Idaho chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design.
You joins Rizen as a graphic designer. His experience crosses many media, including both print and digital.
Both men are graduates of Boise State University.

Dykstra has lived in Boise since 1993 and is a Boise State alumnus.

Kelly Nahas new staff member at Keller Williams
Kelly Nahas has joined Keller Williams Realty, Boise Market Center. She has an extensive background in real estate, assisting buyers and sellers in purchasing and selling homes.
She gives a portion of her commissions to charities such as St. Vincent de Paul, Child Fund, Jesse Tree, Idaho Food Bank, Idaho Youth Ranch, Animals In Distress and Operation Smile.
Nahas is also a nominee for The Realtor Magazine’s Good Neighbor Award for her work to provide the Caldwell School District with uniforms for elementary schoolchildren and their families.
Shriver joins Foley Freeman as associate
Matthew K. Shriver has joined the law firm of Foley Freeman as an associate attorney.
Shriver primarily practices in the areas of bankruptcy and general civil litigation. A 2010 graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law, he clerked for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee during his entire third year of law school and held summer internships at the Boise City Attorney’s Office and the Idaho Department of Finance, Consumer Finance Bureau.
He is a member of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section and the Business and Corporate Law Section of the Idaho State Bar as well as the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Denise Lauerman recently joined the Boise office of Tait & Associates as part of its Architectural Planning Group. She brings 13 years of design and entitlement experience, working with clients and licensed professionals in the architectural / engineering industry. She last served as site designer and liaison between clients and agencies for entitlement purposes on behalf of commercial and residential projects with EHM Engineers.
Susan Dillingham has also joined the company’s Architectural Planning Group. She is a licensed architect, bringing over 17 years of experience in architecture, project management and technology planning to the firm. Prior to this position she served as a director for Supervalu’s Real Estate and Store Development Group in Boise.
