Fidelity Investments donates $21,000 worth of instruments
Fidelity Investments donated $21,00 worth of musical instruments to Whittier Elementary School in May. The donation was made as part of the Fidelity FutureStage program, an arts education initiative created and funded by Fidelity to support music programs in public schools across the country.
Staff members from Fidelity’s new Boise Investor Center presented the students with the new instruments, including two flutes, two clarinets, three trumpets, six violins, three violas, two cellos and a string bass. The instruments are part of a specific wish list identified by the school to help expand its growing orchestra and band programs.
