Prestwich chosen Safety Supervisor of the Year

Cole Prestwich, safety supervisor for Arlo G. Lott Trucking of Twin Falls, received the Safety Supervisor of the Year award at the annual Idaho Trucking Association convention held in Boise at the Grove Hotel Aug. 12.

Prestwich started his career in the trucking industry 20 years ago when he purchased his first truck. He has worked for Arlo G. Lott Trucking for the past 12 years and is responsible for hiring and training new drivers and aiding and training all current drivers, among other duties. He is currently a member of the Wendell School Board and serving as chairman of the Magic Valley Safety Management Committee. He and his wife Karen live in Wendell.

Halford named Driver of the Year for 2011

Con-way Freight employee Jeffrey Halford has been named the 2011 Driver of the Year by the Idaho Trucking Association.

“When it comes to promoting commercial motor vehicle safety in Idaho, Jeffrey Halford is truly the cream of the crop,” said his terminal manager, Scott Neil.

Halford has worked as a long combination vehicle trainer, forklift trainer, and Smiths System Defensive Driving Course instructor for Con-way Freight in Boise. He has been employed by the company for the past 16 years.

Alex Olson promoted to territory manager

Alex Olson was recently promoted from lead driver at PODS of Reno to territory manager of the Idaho franchise based in Boise, called Storage Mobility Inc.

Olson was originally hired in 2007 as a driver in Reno. Now, as a territory manager in Boise he will be responsible for all facets of the business, including expanding the company’s customer base, working with charitable organizations and managing the company’s fleet of trucks and containers.

Lochsa Engineering announces Keller promotion

Jared Keller has been promoted to an associate for Lochsa Engineering. Keller began his career with the firm in 2006 and is responsible for managing projects and staff through all phases of document preparation and construction administration. His design experience includes lateral design of structural systems, distribution of vertical gravity loads, 3-D modeling, building code upgrades and evaluations for existing buildings, seismic retrofits, extensive remodels, and the use of economical building structural materials.

Better Way Home names new partner

A Better Way Home, a locally owned hospice and palliative care company, has added a new business partner, Tony DeVall.

DeVall has worked in the health care and service industries for more than 20 years. He previously served as the director of marketing for a hospice and home health agency. He received his degree in psychology from Northwest Nazarene University in 1999. Through his previous experience as a director of marketing, he gained extensive knowledge about what is needed in providing quality hospice care to patients and their families.

He became part owner of A Better Way Home, LLC in July.

Wells Fargo promotes Hernandez to manager

Saul Hernandez was recently promoted to Nampa South store manager for Wells Fargo. He previously served as service manager for the store.

Hernandez started his career at Wells Fargo in April 2005 as a personal banker. He was promoted to a service manager in 2007. A graduate of Warren National University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, Hernandez graduated from the Latino Leaders Program at UCLA business school. He co-chairs Wells Fargo’s Idaho Region Diversity Council.

Higley completes PMP certification exam

CSHQA employee Tim Higley has completed the Project Management Professional certification exam. The PMP credential is a globally recognized industry certification for project managers demonstrating the experience, education and competency necessary to lead and direct project teams.

Higley is a construction manager with extensive experience in residential and commercial construction and brings experience in business operations and personnel management to the CSHQA team. Recent projects include the Idaho State Capitol restoration.

Beutler joins Keller Williams Realty Boise

Jen Beutler, a Boise real estate sales professional, has joined the Keller Williams Realty Boise Market Center. She has an extensive background in customer service and has been in the real estate industry for more than six years, winning the ACAR Circle of Excellence Award in 2010.
