NASC recognizes Donna Jones with President’s Award

The National Association of State Comptrollers (NASC) has conferred the NASC President’s Award upon Donna Jones, state controller of Idaho. The award is given to recognize exceptional leadership and service to the association. The award was presented to Jones on March 22 by Brenda Bolander, state comptroller of Oklahoma and president of NASC.

Jones was selected to receive the 2012 President’s Award specifically to recognize her loyal and avid support of the association over the years, her outstanding performance as chair of NASC’s Outreach Committee, and her service on various other NASC committees.

NASC President Bolander commented on selecting Jones to receive a 2012 award: “The lifeblood of any association is active outreach to new members. Donna has been a tireless advocate for the work of NASC and the overall benefits to government when state controllers work together to solve problems and discuss issues that are common to every state in the nation. It was my honor to recognize her with a President’s Award this year.”

Jones has been a member of the NASC Executive Committee and has served as chair of the Outreach Committee since March 2011. She and staff within her office are also active on other NASC committees and information sharing groups. Ms. Jones has been an active member of NASC since taking office asIdaho’s state controller in January 2007.
