Associated Taxpayers of Idaho president retires

Randy Nelson, president of the Associated Taxpayers of Idaho, will retire from the organization at the end of July.

Nelson has been with ATI more than 22 years. He authored many studies and reports regarding governmental finance and state and local tax issues – notably property tax. He also provided support and leadership in the Governmental Research Association and the National Taxpayers Conference. Before working at ATI, he was the transportation and principal planner for 13 years for what is now the Community Planning Association in Ada County.

ATI’s board of directors is establishing a transition committee to head the search for a new president.
