Greg Sergienko has begun work as the associate dean of academics and a faculty member at Concordia University School of Law in Boise. He will assist Dean Cathy Silak in building curricular and academic strength at the school.
Sergienko was a professor of law from 1999 to 2012 and associate dean of academics from 2003 to 2004 and 2007 to 2009 at Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, Calif. During that time, he helped guide the school through the process of gaining full American Bar Association approval.
Before teaching, Sergienko was a clerk for Alfred T. Goodwin at the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals from 1985 to 1986. After that, he joined Barrett, Hale & Gilman in Seattle as an associate.
Sergienko earned his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Harvard College in 1980. He earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1985. He also contributed to the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review.
