Idaho AGC board starts search to replace Dunham

The Idaho Associated General Contractors Board of Directors is meeting July 12 to start the search for a new executive director.

Mark Dunham, executive director since late 2007, suffered a stroke in January 2012 and was replaced by an interim director. Dunham, 51, resigned June 25, President Paul Saucerman said.

“His recovery is successful, but there are (tasks) he cannot do at full capacity,” Saucerman said. “He believes we need an executive director.”

The Idaho AGC board aims to hire a new executive director by around Dec. 1, Saucerman said.  He would not disclose Dunham’s salary and said the pay for the next director hasn’t been determined.

Gary Mattson served as interim executive director from January until May 1, when he took another job but stayed with Idaho AGC as board vice president, Saucerman said.

In the absence of an executive director, day-to-day management is handled by Idaho AGC Senior Director of Finance and Operations Tamara Tracy, Membership Director Molly Conein and health plan Director Sue Fudge. They report to Saucerman and Mattson.

Idaho AGC has more than 670 members.
