Otter appoints temporary state controller

Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter has appointed State Controller Donna Jones’ chief deputy, Brandon Woolf, temporary controller while Jones recovers from injuries sustained in a May 25 car crash.

The temporary appointment, made at Jones’ request, will allow operations at the controller’s office to continue until she is ready to return to work.

Woolf earned his bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and his master’s in business administration from Boise State University. During his 15 years at the state controller’s office, he has led the agency’s statewide payroll division and served as chief deputy controller.
