BLM welcomes Idaho district managers

The Bureau of Land Management has hired new managers for the BLM Boise District and the BLM Twin Falls district.

Jim Fincher will be manager of the BLM Boise District. Fincher is currently field manager for the BLM Anchorage Field Office in Alaska. He has 12 years of experience as a line officer with the BLM and the USDA Forest Service. He has worked in permanent and acting capacities as a resource specialist and line manager in Alaska, Georgia, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Washington, D.C.

Mel Meier will be manager of the BLM Twin Falls District. She is currently associate district manager for the BLM Southern Nevada District. She has seven years of experience as a line manager and resource specialist with the BLM. When Meier started her career with the BLM, she worked as a planning and environmental analyst in the BLM’s Washington Office. She has worked as planning and environmental coordinator and assistant deputy state director in minerals management for the BLM Nevada. She has also worked as associate district manager and field manager in Nevada.
