NNU education chair to serve as dean

Northwest Nazarene University Department of Education Chairwoman Paula Kellerer, Ph.D., has been appointed dean of the School of Education, Social Work and Counseling. She will continue serving as chairwoman for the Department of Education.

Kellerer has worked for NNU since 2010. She helped get approval from the Northwest Association for Schools and Colleges for NNU’s first doctoral program. She previously worked as chief academic officer for the Nampa School District. She is an academic adviser for graduate and undergraduate students and serves on several faculty committees.

Kellerer fills the position vacated by Jim Bader, Ph.D., who was dean of the School of Education, Social Work and Counseling for six years. Bader helped establish NNU’s first doctoral program in education.
