IdaPro Indoor Golf Center has spent more than $200,000 on interior improvements on the west side of Capitol south of Front Street in downtown Boise.
General Manager Steve Van Horn said work and equipment in the 3,000-square-foot space includes sensors and cameras documenting clubhead speed, ball launch angle and other shot characteristics. The video screen behind the net also can depict famous courses for simulated rounds under varying conditions. The space has a putting green and sand bunker.
Van Horn said IdaPro is more advanced than simulators at entertainment centers. The business, which opened in mid-July, will offer software-driven video lessons. He said he expects to see the most business in winter.
