BSU names engineering dean

Boise State University has named Amy Moll dean of the College of Engineering.

Moll has served as interim dean since 2011. She has worked for BSU since 2000. Moll co-founded the Materials Science and Engineering program at BSU and served as its first chairwoman. She has also served as a faculty member and professor. Before joining BSU, she worked for Hewlett-Packard.

Moll earned her Bachelor of Science in ceramic engineering from the University of Illinois. She earned her master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. She recently worked as an adviser on the PBS documentary “Making Stuff.”
