Chamber of Commerce hires PR director

 The Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce has hired Caroline Merritt as director of public relations.

Merritt has experience in communications and government affairs. She most recently worked as the marketing director for GSA Results in Boise. Before that, she was the communications and public relations manager for the Vinyl Siding Institute in Washington, D.C. She also worked in the White House Fellows Office during the George W. Bush Administration and as special assistant for external and intergovernmental affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior under Secretary Dirk Kempthorne.

Merritt earned her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University. She is currently completing her master’s in communication at Johns Hopkins University.
