ACHD hires planning and projects leader

David G. Wallace has joined the Ada County Highway District as deputy director of the Planning and Projects Division.

In this position, Wallace will manage 32 employees in the division responsible for developing ACHD’s strategic planning products, establishing the design for ACHD’s projects, confirming and acquiring right-of-way access, implementing projects, and coordinating with utility companies prior to construction.

Wallace, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel and former aerospace executive, has 37 years of management and executive experience, including 25 years of service in the Air Force. He most recently worked as a program manager overseeing Northrop Grumman Electronics Systems F-16 Radar Program Development for U.S. and Allied Air Forces in Baltimore.

Wallace earned his Bachelor of Science in history and international affairs from the U.S. Air Force Academy and his master’s degree in international relations from the University of Southern California.
