Ada County Paramedics director resigns

Ada County Paramedics Director Troy Hagen has resigned to take a position as president and CEO of Care Ambulance Service in southern California. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Falck International, the largest private ambulance service provider in the world.

Hagen has worked with Ada County for 19 years, starting as a paramedic and moving up through the ranks of supervisor and assistant director before being appointed director in May of 2004.

The Board of Ada County Commissioners has appointed Paramedics Deputy Director Darby Weston interim director. Weston has been deputy director for eight years and has worked with Ada County Paramedics for 26 years.

The board will make its final decision on how to permanently fill the position once Commissioner-elect Jim Tibbs takes office in January.
