That’s when the Idaho Business Review will again honor 50 Women of the Year. Idaho Business Review annually celebrates Idaho’s most successful women from public, private, and charitable business sectors. Idaho Business Review receives hundreds of nominations and recognizes 50 honorees. Since 2011, one of the 50 is revealed and recognized as outstanding honoree and “Woman of the Year” in an Academy Award-like moment, culminating the evening’s event. In 2011, Heidi Thompson, president and founder of Scentsy, Inc., was named. Karen Vauk, president and CEO of the Idaho Foodbank, took the honor in 2012.
Giving credence to work ethic, innovation and balance, IBR honors these women and their commitment to excellence at a special awards dinner gala at The Riverside Hotel. The stories of how they got to where they are today, their achievements, and the lessons learned that contributed to their business experiences, will be showcased in a special magazine, available to subscribers in the Feb. 22 IBR, and passed out to all event attendees.
“Every one of these 50 women of the year exemplifies what it takes to be a leader,” said Idaho Business Review Vice President and Publisher Sean Evans. “Year after year we are amazed by the caliber of all of these women who are consummate business professionals who also manage to make a real difference in their communities.”
