COMPASS, the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho, has awarded six Leadership In Motion awards. The awards recognized businesses, individuals and projects that demonstrate leadership in supporting “Communities in Motion,” the regional, long-range transportation plan for Ada and Canyon counties.
The City of Caldwell won the Canyon County Leadership by Example award for its widening of U.S. Highway 20/26 from Aviation Way to Smeed Parkway. The Foundation for Ada-Canyon Trails System won the Ada County Leadership by Example award for its 2012 Greenbelt extension. The Downtown Boise Association won the Leadership in Private Business (Nonprofit) award for its WeCar car-sharing program. Sabrina Anderson, of the Ada County Highway District, won the Leadership in Practice (Professional) award. Bike commuter David Cannamela won the Leadership by Example (Citizen/Volunteer) award. The Ada County Highway District board of commissioners won the Leadership by Example (Elected Official) award.
